10:00 am - 11:30 am: Introduction/Welcome/Yoga
We will ground in to our week together, go over all the logistics, set the tone for our time together. Plus, a brief yoga practice to wake up our bodies and help us arrive.
11:30 am - 1:30 pm: Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger with Kami Liddle
A sweaty and challenging drill class.... pushing your body and mind past your preconceived limits. Posture and technique is the main focus in this class. You know the basics, now time to re-define how you think about movements and how to put isolations together to create new combinations.
2:00 pm - 5:00 pm: Applying ATS concepts for Fusion Dancing, with Carolena Nericcio
This world-premier workshop designed by Carolena especially for SF Mecca 2011! (More information coming soon).

10:00 am - 11:30 am: Yoga & Drills: Morning Practice, with Deb Rubin
The perfect start to our day, we will warm up with Deb’s core-integrated yoga for bellydance to open and prepare the body for a day of dancing, followed by high energy technique drills to build clean, crisp movement quality, muscle memory, and mind-body connection.
11:30 am - 1:30 pm: Theatricality for Dancers Part I, with Dena Martinez
For those looking to take their dancing to the next level. This class will take a look at your theatrical self- with group exploration, improvisation games, vocal exercises to awaken the whole body and the eyes, and ‘out of the box’ theater exercises to deepen performance presence, work with emotions, and add character and depth to our belly dancing on stage.

10:00 am - 12:00 pm: Theatricality for Dancers, part 2, with Dena Martinez
This will be a class devoted to your personal performance. Please come prepared to work on your individual piece. It could be something you are struggling with, something new you want to try, or an old dance you want to dust off. I will work with each of you individually to give you some direction and to break through those sticky places and add character and expression.
1:00 pm - 4:00 pm: Taking it to the Next Level, with Kami Liddle
This class is specifically designed for those wishing to take their dancing to the next level. We will explore how to communicate with the audience; create an emotional connection to the movement, and how to interpret the music through your body.
4:30 pm - 6:30 pm: Dance Therapeutics: Saving Your BellyDance Body, with Deb Rubin.
Drawing from Yoga therapy, Traditional Thai Yoga Massage, Feldenkrais, and 15 years as a bodyworker and health counselor in the field of mind-body medicine, in this segment, Deb’s offers you a restorative, therapeutic sequence focusing on low back, hips, legs, and spine, to help take care of your belly dancer body through this full week of training. Workshop also includes some focus on experiential anatomy, alignment, injury prevention and care, and hot topics in the community.
